How to repurpose your old t-shirt
Step by Step:
1) Find an old T-shirt

2)Now cut the sleeves off at the seam. Cut the top front and back straight across off the top of the t-shirt like this
3) Take the two sleevescut along the seam and lay like so

4) Now lay them on top of each other like this. Figure out where you are going to get your longest material from and cut 2 inches to 2 ½ inches wide.
5) This is what it should look like

6) Sew the 2 pieces together like this This will now need to be sewn inside out to make a long tube. Once sewn, turn it right side out and iron it and do a top stitch on the top. This keeps it flat and neat.

7) Now your going to fold a pocket over at the top and make like an inch and a half sized pocket. First fold a tiny bit over and stitch that to keep it from fraying and make the pocket on the front and the back.
8) The shirt should look like this when the pockets are stitched
9) Now your going to take your tubes that’s been top stitched and run through the front pocket. Determine how long or short you want your straps to be here. Spread out your shirt in front and stitch down your sides so your straps stay in place. Then sew the straps together to fix the back of the shirt just like you want it and side stitch the band down in the back also. And you have a new Tank Top!!!
